Pop-ups are a marketing tool that shows an image to diners when they open your ordering surface. They appear on Scan-to-Order or Atlas Online.
What pop-ups do
When a diner opens your menu, Atlas shows them a pop-up visual — great for promoting a campaign, new item, or important announcement before they start browsing.Where it appears
- Scan-to-Order — diners ordering from the QR menu
- Atlas Online — your online storefront
Set up a pop-up
- In the Merchant Portal, go to Marketing tools → Pop-ups.
- Click Create new pop-up.
- Select Website (Atlas Online) or Channel (Scan-to-Order).
- Add a name for personal reference. This would not show to diners.
- Upload the pop-up image and add the copy that diners will see.
- Configure when and where the pop-up should appear (channels, outlets, schedule).
- Save. The pop-up is live immediately across the channels you selected.
Limitations
- An image needs to be provided.
- Only one pop-up can be active per channel at a time.
Common use cases
- Promote a campaign or limited-time offer the moment diners land on your menu.
- Announce new items or menu changes to returning diners.
- Communicate important notices like holiday hours or service updates.
- Target registered/unregistered users to announce promotions.
