There are 2 ways of connecting an Atlas printer to your Wifi network:
- Mode A: QR pairing with WeChat.
- Mode B: Manual pairing from your browser.
We will go through Mode B first, as we notice WeChat is not so used by our merchants.
Mode B: Manual pairing with your browser (you can use phone, tablet or laptop)
1/ With the printer on, locate the small black button at the back of the printer.
- Note: It’s very small!! See the photo below.
2/ Press and hold the small black button for 2 seconds
and release → A receipt will be printed out, giving 2 options.
3/ After the first ticket is printed, press another time, holding the button
all the way until another ticket prints (see image below) → You have now entered manual wifi pairing mode, which will last around 5-10 mins.
4/ Connect to the Printer
SSID (available from your WiFi list). See the photo below.
- Note: This SSID does not have access network, but that is fine, the page we will be loading will work.
5/ Navigate to the IP (10.10.100.254) you got from the ticket instructions in your browser search bar.
6/ Once you press enter, a modal will pop up (see image below). In this modal, use admin
for both fields.
7/ You have now entered the printer's configuration menu, which will look like this (see image below). From the top right corner, you can change the language to either Mandarin or English.
8/ Click the SCAN
button on the right of the network name.
9/ Once you click SCAN
, a list of available WiFi networks will show.
- Note: This might take a couple of minutes to load.
10/ Select from the list the WiFi network you will connect to. For that, click on the dial button
at the left side of the network name, and then press OK
at the bottom left corner
- Note: It is preferable that you connect to 2.4 GHz.
11/ You will return to the main screen, and a prompt will ask you to update the password.
12/ Update the Password
field with the correct password and click on Save
at the bottom right corner.
- Note: Click on Show passwords right below the white box and make sure it is written properly.
13/ To end this process, click on Restart
after you have saved your changes.
14/ In usually a couple of minutes, a ticket with “successful connection” will print if everything is done correctly.
- Note: The ticket might take a while to print. On some occasions, up to 10 mins.
15/ If the “connection failed” ticket prints instead, go through the guide again and make sure not to miss any step. Alternatively, check that your connection is working properly and stable.
Mode A: QR pairing with WeChat
1/ Connect to the outlet's wifi network.
Note: It must be a 2.4 GHz WiFi (not 5G) if relevant.
2/ Download the WeChat app and create an account.
3/ Locate the small black button at the back of the printer.
4/ Press and hold the small black button for 2 seconds and let go.
5/ Check the printer - a receipt will print out, giving 2 options.
6/ Again, press and hold the small black button for 2 seconds and release.
7/ Check the printer - a receipt will print out with a QR code.
8/ Open WeChat and use the scanner to scan the QR code.
Note: This is to connect the printer to the wifi.
9/ Key in the wireless password and click confirm.
Note: If it does not work, check that Bluetooth and Local Network are turned on.
10/ On the next screen, wait until you see the network Printer
. Click on Connect.
11/ Wait for the printer to connect and print the success receipt.
12/ If the “connection failed” ticket prints instead, go through the guide again and make sure not to miss any step. Alternatively, check your connection is working properly and stable.
