# Set busy mode

> Temporarily adjust prep times or pause channels when the kitchen is overwhelmed.

## What this does

Use Ask Atlas, Claude, or ChatGPT to turn on busy mode, change prep time estimates, or pause delivery and pick-up.

## When to use this

* Orders are backing up
* A large event is in progress
* You are short-staffed
* It is peak hour

## Steps

**Ask Atlas**

**1. Open Ask Atlas**

Open the Ask Atlas chat in the Atlas Merchant Portal and start a new conversation.

**2. Send the request**

```text Prompt theme={null}
Suggest when and how to use busy mode to manage order flow.
```

**Claude**

**1. Open Claude**

Start a new Claude chat and make sure the Atlas connector is turned on.

**2. Paste the prompt**

```text Prompt theme={null}
Suggest when and how to use busy mode to manage order flow.
```

**ChatGPT**

**1. Open ChatGPT**

Start a new ChatGPT chat and make sure the Atlas connector is connected.

**2. Paste the prompt**
